Tribal in Pink

Wow, it has been quite a while since I last updated here. Haven't been doing much nail art lately due to work. Even when I did have time to do it, I didn't manage to make a proper post for them nails. Just snap some photos of them and got away with it.

Here are some of them by the way...

Gradient pink with faux pearl...my nails I wore for a magazine anniversary party in April.

Black over Red for a chic rock effect.

Gradient gold over Black. My nails for the Harvest Festival celebration end of last May.

And here's a proper post for today's nail art.

I've been wanting to do tribal design again but always ended up stressing out on what color combo to use. As I was ransacking my nail colors, I realized that my OPI Nicki Minaj collection bought in January has not been really tested out. So yeah, tribal pink it is...with of course, the mandatory of black and white.

Still have to practice more on doing free-hand painting the lines.

Colors used:
OPI Pink Friday as base.
Black and white acrylic paint to draw the tribal design.

Next up, will be my nail art for Zumba Green Party this coming Friday. I am e.x.c.i.t.e.d!!!!

Crave for tribal

It's been 5 days since I last painted my nail and to be frank, I kinda feel restless seeing my nails bare. The need to have them painted grows stronger each day. Due to the nature of my work... I can't wear painted nails to work.

But who says anything about wearing them for work? I can always paint my nails and wipe 'em colors off later. What a waste you said.

Really, it's not about showing off my painted nails that I'm crave for. It's the feeling of satisfaction, with smile wide open, ogling at my nails and knowing I CAN do the design I want to do. That bit of satisfaction is actually my addiction. You get what I mean? No? Ooh never mind...

Anyways, here's another tribal design I have tried after my first and second attempt were not up to my expectation. And I envy Edith's tribal nail design so much I promised myself I will do a better one next time.

Although, I did this in a rush and the black lines were smudged when I applied top coat...overall, I am happy with this design. It instantly shout "Tribal!" as proven by hubby when he first saw them. ^__^

FF: Tribal print

Friday Fingers

TGIF!
Not that I feel it so much since I AM on holiday till end of the year. ^_^

Anyways, here's my FF for this week.
Gotta say, this is the hardest FF so far. I just couldn't get the lines straight and balanced. Wanted to use tape but it will be very time consuming.

Initially, I wanted to incorporate the Aboriginal's art but I couldn't come up with a suitable design. I don't want to end up with having just round/circle design over and over. For now, this will do.

Pardon the not-so-straight lines.

FF Theme: Tribal Print

Friday Fingers

Happy Monday!

One more weekend before Christmas! Woohoo! Have you thought of any Christmas nail designs to be worn on during Christmas time? Well, if yes, that's good! After this week's FF, it's gonna be all about Christmas. So get your Christmas nail designs ready!

For this week's FF, it's gonna be.... TRIBAL Print!!!

This design is an 'acquired taste' I must say cos it usually involves loud colors and complicated lines and strokes that can make the design look messy or 'crowded'. But, if you are able to pick one with great color combo and lines/dots that are less crowded....this tribal print can look so great on your nails.
